Dietz & Watson has unveiled a new ad that cements just how serious the brand is about hoagies by bringing back comedian Craig Robinson to deliver an ode to Philly’s favorite food and the hometown heroes that serve them up.

The spot, created by creative agency Red Tettemer O’Connell + Partners (RTO+P), comes on the heels of the recent launch of the Real Philly Deli initiative, aimed at shining a light on local Philly delis and helping grow local businesses.

The new spot marks Craig’s second gig as spokesperson for the brand. He first sang Dietz & Watson’s praises in an ad for Dietz Nuts, the first-ever “meat nut” snack for Dietz & Watson and the world, back in February around the Super Bowl.

In this song, he delivers a sensual, soulful tune from his keyboard, singing how each letter of 'hoagie' relates to his love of the sandwich. A 30-second version encapsulates the Barry White-style sandwich lust.
